Oh that Pinterest. It's done it again. Once I saw this, I KNEW I had to recreate it. I absolutely love the irony. It's like a mixture of old-lady-sitting-in-a-recliner-cross-stitching meets Snoop Dogg. For all my doggs that don't know much about Snoop D-O-double-G or understand his flow, it says "Bless This Hizzy, Fo Shizzle." (Both of my co-workers thought it said "To Shizzle." In other words, it means "Bless This House, For Sure." And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is your Snoop 101 lesson for the day.

Since I didn't have a pattern to go by, only this picture, I had to make my own. I bought graph paper and taped 6 sheets together. For those of you that don't cross-stitch, it's all about finding your center. I found the center on the pic above and the center on my graph paper and started drawing out my pattern. Each color is a different symbol so that I wouldn't get them mixed up. Then I literally counted each line on the computer screen and that's how I drew my pattern out. It's a wonder that my eyes are not cross-eyed or I didn't end up with a lazy eye. *Inside joke....hehe*
It only took about 2 hours to get it all drawn out then I couldn't wait to start cross stitching. I already had all of the colors so I just had to buy the fabric. It's hard to tell in this pic, but there are silver strands that run through the entire fabric and I loved how it looked blingy.....fo shizzle!
It looks like there's a gray hair right above the lower left heart and even though I (sadly) have found a few gray hairs since turning the big 3-0, it's actually just the reflection from my bracelets.
Here's a close-up that shows the blingy silver threads a little better. It still doesn't show up as well as it does in person.
So there ya have it. My little project that I couldn't be more proud of. A house isn't a hizzy without some "Capital S, oh yes I'm fresh, N double-O P, D O double-G Y, D O double-G, ya see! If you have no idea what that language is I speak of, check out the video. I can't get over how young Snoop looks. But my favorite part is the little toddler getting down and checkin' out the ladies. Warning: Explicit lyrics.
Don't say I didn't warn ya.
Oh my Gawd!!! Fabulous!
