Isn't that nuts!?! So with this workout, you choose which program you want to do and all you need is 90 days. I'm doing the Lean program and I'm guessing J-Si did one of the other two since they're made for bulking up. The Lean program has more cardio which helps you tone and burn more fat. There is also a diet plan but I'm not exactly following it, even though they tell you that it's crucial. I'm eating pretty healthy right now (until I go eat Mexican and drink margaritas this weekend). I just haven't had time to map out my meals and go grocery shopping. I've been eating my fruits and veggies and I've had veggie burgers for dinner almost every night this week. I'll probably have to work on the diet part. :)
I'm currently on day 3 and here's how it's been so far. On day one, I did the (VERY HARD) workout and looked at my workout schedule afterwards and realized that I did the wrong workout! Not only did I do the wrong workout but I'm not supposed to do that workout at all in my program. It's only for those that are trying to bulk up. The workout I did was chest and back and let me just tell you some of the exercises that were in the workout. It was basically an hour of pull-ups and push-up. I did standard push-ups, military push-ups, wide push-ups, diamond push-ups, overhand pull-ups, close grip pull-ups, and reverse grip pull-ups. There were more but those are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head. Oh!.....and I did all that twice! I have 2 words for ya.....I. Hurt. On day two, I did cardio. Then today, I did shoulders & arms and the ab ripper. Tippy doesn't quite know what to make of all this exercising in the living room. My coffee table has been pushed to the side of the room all week and everytime I'm on the floor doing abs, she's on top of me attacking my face with her kisses!
I'm probably the worst when it comes to sticking with a workout regime but I really feel like this will work for me because 1) I have a plan already layed out for me and I feel like I'll mess up the routine if I skip a day and 2) I have made a goal and if I keep thinking about that goal, that will be great motivation. Not to mention the fact that I took "before" pictures and seeing those pics made me want to throw up in my mouth. If those pics aren't enough motivation, I don't know what is! Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can stick to it and have a rockin' body by the time I turn 30!
Totally off topic, but I love when people (guys) tell me they read my blog and I love it even more when they want a shout-out....lol. So here's your shout-out Schrage!!!!
The Office Quote of the Day:
Creed: So hey, I want to set you up with my daughter.
Jim: Oh, I am engaged to Pam.
Creed: I thought you were gay.
Jim: Then why would you want to set me up with your daughter?
Creed: I don't know.
I'm telling you...the diet really IS crucial, atleast 5 days a week....I've done it, unsuccessfully, and I have friends who have done it, very successfully...trick was they followed the diet. And don't be too surprised if you lose a ton of inches and a dress sizes, but not much weight. best friend lost about 13 inches, and only 2 lbs. Great Great Great program, you can do it birthday girl!!!
ReplyDeleteI was afraid of that :( I'll try the diet next week....maybe ;)
