Master Bedroom: My first DIY Headboard
Once I traced the pattern, I (had my friend) cut it out using a jigsaw.
I bought 2" foam to layer on top. The foam comes in squares or a roll. I read on a blog that the squares were easier to use but after maneauvering these things, I think the roll would have been easier.
I attached the foam using this.
Once it was secured, I went around and cut the excess around the edges.
This is what it looked like after I finished. I didn't worry to much about jagged edges because they would be covered.
Then I took quilting batting and stapled it all along the edges while pulling really taute. (Taute is a fun word to say....or type.)

Guest Bathroom: The Complete Tour
I'll start off by showing you the shower curtain I was dealing with. I've had this shower curtain for a couple of years and there's nothing wrong with it so instead of spending money on something that I really don't HAVE to buy (like I usually do), I just used the same curtain. My brother/financial advisor should be so proud! Anyway, back to the shower curtain. The camera didn't pick up the colors real well but it's actually brown and a light bluish-greenish color instead of brown and tan. I usually don't dig traditional prints like this but I LOVE mixing traditional with modern elements.....You'll see what I mean later ;)
Bathroom After! Muuuuuuch better!
Towel rack before.
On with the details! Below are the pictures that I blogged about previously. Click here so you can read about how I came up with the brilliant idea to take pics of my dog peeing and pooping.
You may have seen the blog where I talked about buying my adorable bathroom appropriate wall art.
What's a guest bathroom without goodies for your guests?
What are those white pieces of gorgeousness in the corner?
Let's take a closer look. These are another fab purchase from TJ Maxx. I just love the waffle texture on these!
Well, that's the complete tour! Yes, I have been in my new house for 6 1/2 months and I have only finished 1 room!.....the smallest at that. I think my next project is to paint my bedroom. I have the color picked out and let me give you a little teaser and say that it is a bold color choice but I'm pretty excited about. Painting a good-size bedroom with 9 foot ceilings.....I'm not so excited about. Help is always welcome ;)

30 by 30!
Isn't that nuts!?! So with this workout, you choose which program you want to do and all you need is 90 days. I'm doing the Lean program and I'm guessing J-Si did one of the other two since they're made for bulking up. The Lean program has more cardio which helps you tone and burn more fat. There is also a diet plan but I'm not exactly following it, even though they tell you that it's crucial. I'm eating pretty healthy right now (until I go eat Mexican and drink margaritas this weekend). I just haven't had time to map out my meals and go grocery shopping. I've been eating my fruits and veggies and I've had veggie burgers for dinner almost every night this week. I'll probably have to work on the diet part. :)
I'm currently on day 3 and here's how it's been so far. On day one, I did the (VERY HARD) workout and looked at my workout schedule afterwards and realized that I did the wrong workout! Not only did I do the wrong workout but I'm not supposed to do that workout at all in my program. It's only for those that are trying to bulk up. The workout I did was chest and back and let me just tell you some of the exercises that were in the workout. It was basically an hour of pull-ups and push-up. I did standard push-ups, military push-ups, wide push-ups, diamond push-ups, overhand pull-ups, close grip pull-ups, and reverse grip pull-ups. There were more but those are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head. Oh!.....and I did all that twice! I have 2 words for ya.....I. Hurt. On day two, I did cardio. Then today, I did shoulders & arms and the ab ripper. Tippy doesn't quite know what to make of all this exercising in the living room. My coffee table has been pushed to the side of the room all week and everytime I'm on the floor doing abs, she's on top of me attacking my face with her kisses!
I'm probably the worst when it comes to sticking with a workout regime but I really feel like this will work for me because 1) I have a plan already layed out for me and I feel like I'll mess up the routine if I skip a day and 2) I have made a goal and if I keep thinking about that goal, that will be great motivation. Not to mention the fact that I took "before" pictures and seeing those pics made me want to throw up in my mouth. If those pics aren't enough motivation, I don't know what is! Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can stick to it and have a rockin' body by the time I turn 30!
Totally off topic, but I love when people (guys) tell me they read my blog and I love it even more when they want a shout-out....lol. So here's your shout-out Schrage!!!!
The Office Quote of the Day:
Creed: So hey, I want to set you up with my daughter.
Jim: Oh, I am engaged to Pam.
Creed: I thought you were gay.
Jim: Then why would you want to set me up with your daughter?
Creed: I don't know.
